Kian R. Magana joined the firm in December of 2018. Before joining us, he practiced high-end criminal defense at a boutique law firm for approximately four years, where he accrued substantial courtroom and trial experience, handling cases running the gamut from traffic infractions to murders with special circumstances.

Since joining the firm, Mr. Magana has been heavily involved in every step of Probate and Civil litigation, taking numerous depositions of key witnesses, drafting heavy motion practice, and directly negotiating multi-million dollar settlement offers and demands. Mr. Magana is one of our key associates in preparing and implementing case strategy, from client intake, to trial, and everything in between.

Mr. Magana is a Los Angeles native, who went to the Ivy League institution, Cornell University, where he earned his B.A. in History in 2010, having earned a place on the Dean’s List for four semesters.

Mr. Magana then attended UC Davis King Hall School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 2014.

Prior to graduating law school, Mr. Magana was an inaugural member in the Hong Yen Chang Project, an ultimately successful effort to posthumously overturn the race-based denial of an American of Chinese descent to the California State Bar in the 1800s. This dedication righting injustice has followed Mr. Magana to this day, and is part of what makes him an effective advocate for our clients’ rights.
